12″ Cherry Mill

This mill was made from a branch section of cherry.  So the pith used to run more or less up the middle of the mill.  This arrangement of the wood is responsible for the light and dark grain patterns.  The design is slightly inflected at the part with groups of turned grooves at the top, middle and bottom and a couple of small steps on top.
