12″ Lighthouse Mill

This piece strikes me as looking very much like a lighthouse. Its top is left in natural maple, while its lower half is colored a bright, semi-transparent red. Unlike a lighthouse, this mill uses a “crush-grind” mechanism, which is good for milling salt, pepper, fenugreek, etc. The grind adjustment is on the bottom rather than the top. The gloss finish consists of many thin coats of shellac.
