12″ Weeping Cherry Mill

This mill is fashioned from a piece of weeping cherry, an ornamental variant of (black) cherry. The wood is similar to cherry, but, at least with the wood from this tree, tends to have more pronounced grain lines and a slightly browner tone overall. The gloss finish, built up through many thin coats of shellac, really shows off all the grain features.
