Amber + Green Bowl

The outside of this 9″ wide Douglas fir bowl is a very warm amber color with faint streaks of pink. Up over the rugged and natural bark edge we find a deep greenish teal color on the inside. All the variation in grain lines and tone are visible through the color treatment. It’s quite a nice combination, the amber and the green. This one’s soaked up a lot of oil, which not only accounts for the amber tones in the grain but also the weightiness of the piece.
