Ancient Roman Bowl

Just kidding, but from the looks of it, this bowl has weathered the elements for a few centuries. The exterior has a finish that is a thin coating of copper followed by a rapid oxidizer that yields the classic effect in a fraction of a century. This is a good-sized bowl, measuring 9.5″ across the top and 5″ high. The interior is lovely aged cherry and features a couple of knots nestled in the inside walls and the rim has a band of copper. The finish on that is hand-polish shellac for a gloss sheen, while the verdi gris exterior is flat.
