Big & Colorful Cherry Bowl

This nearly gigantic bowl has some lovely grain features, including the dark brown patterns on opposite ends of the rim and the layered, sedimentary colors of the mid-body. The rim sports a thick collar which aids in handling and also looks good, much as I imagine I would have looked good in the thick collar, maybe 150 years ago. The small foot raises it up off the table just a bit, and the underside is decorated and signed by the author for all those intrepid bowl inverters in your life. The food-safe finish is my beeswax/oil concoction.
