Big Old Christmas Tree

This tree tips the scales at about a pound and a half, stands nearly a foot tall, and is about 4.5″ wide. It’s the width that is really of note. It’s nearly impossible to find wood that wide for sale anywhere, so you have to saw it and dry it yourself. Well, you don’t, but I do. Throughout the non-winter months, I’m busy finding big logs and sawing them into big chunks, for to dry in the coming years. But likely, you don’t care about all that. Hopefully, you do care about the vibrant red and green on this tree that are translucent enough to let the nice black locust grain show through, and the nice metallic silver ‘n gold accents. Finished in shellac for a nice glossy sheen.
