Cherry And Padauk Shakers

Padauk is a beautiful African wood that smells vaguely of Playdough when you work it.  I don’t use exotic woods much, having access to an amazing array of local woods, but I had a bit of this Padauk left over from my rebellious youth.

We’ve been using a set like this for years in our kitchen.  They really don’t wear out.
