Cherry Tree With Gold Bands

This 9″ tall tree in cherry is left mostly natural. You know, cherry is a wood that darkens relatively quickly with age, especially if exposed to sunlight. No matter what color the cherry wood on this tree is when it’s on display in a museum a thousand years from now, the bright gold bands and thin red and green stripes will look just as good with it. Even the glossy shellac finish will likely survive intact.
