Cherry Tree

Did I ever tell you that one of my ancestors was Parson Weems, the man who made up the story of George Washington and the cherry tree? I did, didn’t I? Anyhow (as Washington himself was fond of saying), this tree is mostly about the cherry, showing off, as it does, large swathes of natural grainy goodness. The bands green, red, white, and gold are all gathered on the upper side of the branches and are muted a bit by a thin layer of iridescent silver. The finial is colored in gold and the finish is gloss.
