Color And Grain

For this big, big tree I used semi-transparent red and green colors. The effect is bright, Christmassy colors but with clear wood grain running underneath the color. The silver and gold accents are like the extra logs that make the yuletide fire really get going. Most meticulous woodworkers are cognizant of, and are endlessly tortured by, tiny imperfections in their finished pieces that only they can see. I certainly am one such woodworker. But I must say, and with no false modesty that I’m aware of, that this tree passes my inspection without any objections. Well, my signature could have been better.
