Douglas Fir Bowl

This is a Douglas fir bowl of simple lines and with a small foot that nudges it off the table just enough.  The pattern of the darker heartwood is interesting here; usually in Douglas fir, the heatwood runs along growth rings, but in this piece it meanders in and out of them.
