Elm Bowl w/Carved Bead

This is a bowl that I got 95% completed many years ago.  Or so I thought.  After I put it back on the lathe I fiddled and fussed with the raised central band but wasn’t happy for the longest time.  Finally, I got to a design I found appealing, but only after lots of hand-working of that band.  The high gloss finish on top of an tung oil base shows off the intricate elm grain nicely.
