Groovey Cherry

This smooth-sided tree features darker tones of red and green along with silver, all swirled about in an abstract expressionist kind of way. The grooves were cut after the painting was done to reveal the natural cherry in a series of glimpses. The finial is a bright gold sphere and provides a bit of counterpoint to the body colors. Shellac finish.
