Hornbeam Form

This hollow form measures 4.5″ high and about 6″ at its widest point. The lovely hop hornbeam wood — also known as ironwood — has many, many fine grainlines. There’s probably something like 75 years of wood in this piece. The flat finish on this pleasingly organic form is beeswax and mineral oil.
