Little Blue Pot

Though it be a small vessel, I still gave this piece as much attention as any other. It got a transparent blue dye treatment, followed by an oil soaking, followed by many thin, hand-rubbed coats of urethane. The cumulative effect of these layers of finish is a deep blue tone accentuated by grain patterns in the apple wood. The top of the rim was left natural and provides a very nice contrast with the color.
