Pretty Proportions

I’ve been honing my eye for tree proportions for years now. This tree strikes this woodturner’s eye as being just right in virtually every respect. The colors are a bit muted, in a Christmas sense, suggesting a year-round display possibility. The piece also shows off some mighty nice cherry grain and the smooth, bright shellac finish is as close to flawless as I’m able to get it.
