Purple Perfection

As Uriah Heep (the Dickens character, not the rock band) might have said, being so very humble, I can’t describe my work as even approaching perfection, so humble a man am I. But like Heep, I suppose I’m always scheming. For example, it is my intention to get rich off of selling my wood creations on the web. That was a joke, I hope you recognized. But you know, purple is a difficult color to photograph, I find. Downstream filters really, really, want to turn it blue. But this tree is definitely purple and no mistake. It got that way via some vibrant purple dye, which also lets the lovely maple grain show through. Accents are in silver and gold and the gloss finish is via many thin coats of shellac.
