Raining Grain

The dark walnut finial stands out on this tree, as it should. But the eye soon settles on the pleasing blue and gold of the tree’s body. The highlighted grain of the honey locust wood is close to vertical all the way around, giving the impression of snow running down the sides (note: snow doesn’t rhyme with grain). Nice shellac finish to give it a glossy look.
