Red Mulberry Potato Chip
So-called “potato chip” bowls are turned green — i.e. when the wood is freshly cut — and allowed to distort while drying. You can end up with some quite cool effects. This bowl was actually part of our decor for years. Recent rejiggering meant that it was going into storage so I thought I’d offer it up for sale. The red mulberry wood has aged beautifully in its 14 years. The finish is boiled linseed oil followed by several coats of shellac that was then buffed out to a satin sheen. Very smooth.
