Remembrance Of Things Craft

This 6″ tall tree in white oak has a dramatic sweep to its profile. There’s a muted, old-time quality to the red and green that remind me of…something; maybe a sled or an ornament box. It’s funny how color is sometimes like smell in its ability to trigger memories, if not specific ones. Golden grooves (fun to say) separate the bands of color and the golden finial that sits on top looks just right. Gloss finish in shellac finish.
