Serene Green
On this 7″ maple tree, I decided to go with a calm, smooth, glossy look. The shade is veridian green, and it took four coats to get it where I wanted it (on the tree, natch). The finial gives a low-key Christmas hoo-rah and together with the tinsel-like silver accents, gets on well with the deep green, without agitating too much. Finish is glassy shellac, also requiring about 4 coats.
