Simple But Elegant

This bowl is made from the wood of an ornamental variety of cherry called weeping cherry. The grain is familiar to fans of black cherry but it is quite a bit more lively in the grain coloring; it’s almost tiger-striped. The form has a clean, classical line. An oil-based finish provides a semi-gloss sheen.
