Smallish Red Cedar Tree

This red cedar tree stretches to nearly 9″ tall and runs about 4″ wide. Those numbers help with its very nice proportions. The grain on this tree is lovely to behold and the extended oil soaking (we’re talking a month) gives that grain a nice pop. I decided to keep the coloring classy and simple on this tree; just bright gold bands and a silvery sphere on top. The finish is a nice gloss, built up from many layers of shellac.
