Smashing Apple

My dear mother has always liked to use the word “smashing,” usually to describe Sean Connery. It’s fitting to mention all that here since I’m sure you will easily — here it comes — Bond with this tree. I beg your forgiveness for that, but I must say there’s nothing for me to be ashamed of in the tree itself — beautiful apple wood shaped into a sweeping form and adorned with bands of blue, turquoise, and silver. Bright, glossy finish in shellac.
