Spalted Maple With Holiday Colors

This piece was made from a piece of spalted maple, which accounts for the very interesting grain patterns on the underside surfaces. Topside, it’s all holiday colors, with reds, greens and golds on display. A grand tree, standing at 11″ high, it also features a sparkly gloss finish built up from many layers of shellac.
