Teal Pot With Raised Band

A raised band runs around the equator of this 5″ wide vessel. It’s made of apple wood and dyed a deep shade of teal. In drying it’s gone quite oval, being 5″ in diameter in one direction and 4″ at ninety degrees to that. It thus gives a couple of different profiles, depending on how you orient it. An extended linseed oil soaking extends both depth and heft to the piece.
