Turned Cherry Box In Forrest Green

An organic form, like a fig or a head of garlic, this cherry box is petite but attractive. The finish was a multi-step process consisting of mulitple applications of aniline dye followed by 3 coats of amber shellac and finally a French polish to bring up the sheen. The bottom and insides are left natural cherry color.  The lid has a tight suction fit. Inside is finished with a beeswax/mineral oil mixture. Approximately 2.75″ high x 2″ wide.
