Under The Sea

Taller than it is wide, this form is more of a proper vase than some of my other hollow forms. It’s been colored with a transparent aqua-colored dye and the wood itself is a crazy swirl of flowing grain and gnarly knots. The overall impression is that of an underwater seascape, including a fishy or two swimming about. The live-edge bark lining the opening even looks like a rock formation jutting up out of the water.
