Violet Ball

This 9″ high tree is made from cherry. I’ve seen the wood marketed as “black cherry,” which is actually the tree species, so OK. But “wild black cherry” is a branch too far. I prefer the more honest “cherry,” though I don’t much care for the phrase “more honest,” in this context, anyway. So now you know all you need to know about this tree! Finish in shellac, brought to a gloss, as per usual.
